On 29 Jan 2007, I spoke to dad in the morning while he sent me to school. I told him that I was afraid to ask mum about doing stuffs like colouring etc because mum would say “NO!” angrily.

I told him that mum would say that she is tired or had to take care of mira, my sister. Dad said that he too oftens tells me “NO” but I told him that it was ok if he said it.

That evening after dinner and bath, I was surprised when mum asked me whether I wanted to do arts and crafts. I readily said yes. I liked it and surprised dad with a cut-out dress coloured in different shades. I wrote “I LOVE YOU ABAH” at the back.

Dad was watching tv in the room when I showed him what I did. Dad smiled and said thank you. Dad told me to write the date as he kept all my drawings. Wrote the date as well as Ummi next to the word Abah because told mum me to do one for her. I was tired to do another one. I told dad about it and asked if it was ok if I had written mum’s name there. He smiled and said it was fine.

I overheard dad told mum what I did. She said “Where got fair? I did it with him and he put your name on it!!”. Dad didnt answer and kept the dress along with the crab I made for him earlier.

Dad’s Note :
That evening, after fetching my wife, I told the missus what amirul said. she of course was surprised. i said that this is wat he said and wat u want to do is up to u.
