Perang Penang: Day 3 — Tepak Sireh, Books and Tea
Day 3.

Lorong Kulit and the Tepak Sireh
This was where I bought the tepak sireh tembaga.
Not merely another stop at a flea market, but the place where one of the trip’s important finds came from.
Nasi Dalcha at Tajuddin
Tajuddin Restaurant and nasi dalcha had already been on our Penang checklist. On Day 3, they moved from the list to the table.

Masjid Kapitan Keling
From Tajuddin, the record moved into George Town’s mosque and heritage quarter. The first mosque was Masjid Kapitan Keling.

Areca Books
Next came Areca Books at 72 Lebuh Acheh, a bookshop stop within the heritage-quarter walk.

Masjid Melayu Lebuh Acheh
The second mosque was Masjid Melayu (Jamek) Lebuh Acheh. Its exterior sign records 1808.

Wandering Through Old George Town
After the mosques and books came the craft shops, architecture, murals and streets of the heritage quarter.

Tea Kadai
Tea Kadai had also been on the Penang checklist. It became the final recorded stop of Day 3.

End of Day 3
Ok we done with Day 3.
